Thoughts On Fire You ever lay awake at night unable to sleep because you’ve this flaming thought that won’t shut up? I mean it could be as simple as some argument you had with a friend or loved one but that’s not what I’m referring to here. I’m talking about some thought or thing you want to express to the world but for some unknown reason you’re just out of touch with all this high-tech stuff on the internet and you’ve no clue how to get your message out to the world. Building something as simple as a blog isn’t as easy as some folks say it is. Not all of us were equipped with the ability to learn the simplest basics of blogging or web-design let alone creating video or selling anything on the internet. And because it’s such a foreign idea you find yourself trying to shut out your thoughts which quickly results in endless hours of sleepless nights. In a nutshell MidnightStew was thought up on the pretense that I might; as a closet entrepreneur, get my ideas out to the world. Certainly I could hire a professional and have someone else do it for me but as an entrepreneur I am a bit ego minded; would it really be mine if someone else did it for me? That leads to Why The truth is; I’m only one person, this is one person’s idea. I’m a writer and artist that wants to sell my wares on the internet so I can travel the world before old age catches up to me and I miss out on the opportunity altogether. I’m far from tech savvy but I honestly believe I can attain my dreams if I am willing to work for it. Just because I don’t know something doesn’t mean I am incapable of learning. One of the biggest key elements anyone can possess is to remain teachable. Thus the teacher becomes the student and the student becomes the teacher. Initially this site was intended to be merely an online store. But as I learn through online tutorials and the advice of others that have built their own sites; I have realized their is a vast need for simple basic short tutorials that will and can help other people like myself get their own space up and running. A glimpse into the future And… Yes; I will have that store! You’ll get to see the creative side of me; my art studio, my creative writing projects, my life adventures and the like. My life is not Mediocre. I’m my own worst critic; I don’t like being in front of a camera. But I’m going to get in front of the camera anyhow. I can share my own story in front of strangers and I can sing a karaoke song like a rock star but I am severely camera shy… I’m going to overcome this! Personal Experience I don’t like getting older; finding myself racing against time and worried about my future. I’ve so many missed opportunities but nothing I really regret. I don’t want to do things the way everyone else does them. I’m a rebel by nature and I want to do it MY WAY. Mind you; MY WAY isn’t necessarily the easier softer way but I have learned to give myself permission to make mistakes. Some mistakes are very very costly, but mistakes are not dead ends; they are moments where I can reflect and learn and often times laugh. Laughter is good medicine; when my head gets too full I watch or listen to comedy. I’d like to believe I’ve experienced enough stuff in life to have gained a bit of wisdom. I hope that my wisdom might help others. I dabble in thought provoking opinions and ideas. Facebook and twitter don’t offer enough of what I’m looking for thus MidnightStew.com is my newest adventure.

The Wild Side

I love costume... conned the hubbie for an old west shot. I even dressed up the dog for holloween. Found a house getting decked for Holloween; had to take a photo. Took a moment at the beach in Florence, OR. Gazed at wild horses just outside of Dugway, UT. Oh and the pond; that's in my backyard. And that wierd piece of metal; it's a dragon someone placed along the highway. And yes; I still have dreads.
